SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3714585 was released on 10.03.2026 and deals with "3714585 - [ CVE-2026-27685] Insecure Deserialization in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal Administration" within Java. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve insecure deserialization with a hot news potential for exploitation in component BC-PIN-PCD.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

Risk specification

SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal Administration allows an authenticated attacker with elevated privileges to upload malicious content which, upon deserialization, may result in remote code execution.

Solution

The deserialization logic has been enhanced to validate incoming input prior to processing.
