Advisory

A note with CVSS 4.3 for component ICM was released by SAP on 12.05.2026. The correction/advisory 3718508 was described with "3718508 - [CVE-2026-40134] Missing Authorization Check in SAP Incentive and Commission Management" and affects the system type ABAP.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

The vulnerability addressed is missing authorization check within ABAP.

Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. Since SAP uses an explicit authorization model, an authority checks must be coded in order to be executed. If an explicit check is not coded, all users have access. SAP Incentive and Commission Management allows an authenticated attacker to invoke a remote-enabled function module without proper authorization to perform table update operations, resulting in unauthorized modification of data.

Authorization checks are now enforced on the affected remote-enabled function module, ensuring that only authorized users can invoke it and perform table update operations.
