On 09.12.2025 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within ABAP.
SAP Note 3672151 addresses "[CVE-2025-42876] Missing Authorization Check in SAP S/4 HANA Private Cloud (Financials General Ledger)" to prevent missing authorization check with a high risk for exploitation.
A workaround does exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process, the team suggests.
Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. Risk specification
A vulnerability in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud (Financials General Ledger) allows an authenticated user with authorization limited to a single company code to read sensitive data and create or modify documents across all company codes, which can result in unauthorized operations or information disclosure.
Solution
The issue was resolved by implementing proper access restrictions. Circumstances exist that prevent the timely installation of a patch provided by the manufacturer. In such cases, you may consider applying the suggested workaround as a temporary or compensating mitigation: "As a workaround, implement the changes according to functional SAP Note 3673002.".
