Advisory

A note with CVSS 4.3 for component FI-LOC-FI-RU was released by SAP on 13.01.2026. The correction/advisory 3655229 was described with "[CVE-2026-0493] Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in SAP Fiori App (Intercompany Balance Reconciliation)" and affects the system type ABAP.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

The vulnerability addressed is cross-site request forgery (xsrf) within ABAP.

Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. SAP Fiori App Intercompany Balance Reconciliation allows an attacker to execute state-changing actions using an inappropriate HTTP request type, which could enable unintended actions on behalf of an authenticated user.

Solution

The application has been updated so that the affected OData functions use POST instead of GET for state-changing operations, ensuring proper CSRF-safe request handling.
