A note with CVSS 6.5 for component BI-BIP-INV was released by SAP on 09.09.2025. The correction/advisory 3611420 was described with "[CVE-2023-5072] Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability due to outdated JSON library used in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform" and affects the system type BI/BO platform.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance.

The platform now uses the latest JSON-Java library version, eliminating the vulnerability.
