A note with CVSS 8.0 for component BI-BIP-CMC was released by SAP on 08.07.2025. The correction/advisory 3565279 was described with "[CVE-2024-53677] Insecure File Operations vulnerability in SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform (CMC)" and affects the system type BI/BO platform.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance.

The application now leverages an updated and secure version of Apache Struts to eliminate the vulnerable file upload mechanism.
