Advisory

A note with CVSS 8.5 for component LOD-HCI-PI-TPM was released by SAP on 08.09.2026. The correction/advisory 3792978 was described with "[CVE-2026-76958] XML External Entity (XXE) Vulnerability in SAP Integration Suite" and affects the system type SAP Edge Integration.

A workaround exists, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as none.

The vulnerability addressed is xml external entity (xxe) within SAP Edge Integration.

Risk specification

SAP Integration Suite does not adequately validate XML documents received from untrusted sources in certain internal components. A low-privileged attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting specially crafted XML payloads containing malicious external entity declarations. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to access sensitive file contents on the server and expose them through monitoring or logging output, resulting in a high impact on confidentiality. Additionally, it could cause resource exhaustion, leading to a low impact on availability. There is no impact on integrity.

Solution

External entity resolution has been explicitly disabled in the parser configuration of the new iFlow package version, preventing malicious XXE payloads from accessing local file contents. Steps to apply the solution/fix: If you are using the standard TPM iFlow, upgrade the iFlow package Cloud Integration - Trading Partner Management V2 to version 2.10.0 or higher, and re-deploy all iFlow steps. If you are using B2B Integration Factory, upgrade the iFlow package B2B Integration Factory - Cloud Integration - Trading Partner Management to version 1.11.0 or higher, and re-deploy all iFlow steps. Known impact on existing functionality Scenarios that intentionally depend on XML external entities or DTD features during XML processing may be affected after the upgrade.  Although an alternative solution exists, it is advisable to apply the correction! This is the workaround, which was suggested by the SAP security experts: "None".
