Advisory

On 12.05.2026 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within SAP UI5.

SAP Note 3726583 addresses "3726583 - [CVE-2026-34258] Content Spoofing vulnerability in SAPUI5 (Search UI)" to prevent content spoofing with a medium risk for exploitation.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance, the team suggests.

Risk specification

SAPUI5 (Search UI) allows an unauthenticated attacker to craft a URL that, when accessed by a victim, renders attacker-controlled content within the application.

Solution

Input validation on URL parameters has been implemented, preventing the manipulation of search parameters to redirect users to attacker-controlled content.
