Advisory

A note with CVSS 3.7 for component BI-BIP-CMC was released by SAP on 09.06.2026. The correction/advisory 3706000 was described with "3706000 - [CVE-2026-44743] Security Misconfiguration vulnerability in SAP Business Objects" and affects the system type BI/BO platform.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance.

The vulnerability addressed is information disclosure within BI/BO platform.

Information disclosure is when an application fails to properly protect sensitive and confidential information from parties that are not supposed to have access to the subject matter in normal circumstances.
Carefully review every information disclosure vulnerablity in regards to disclosure obligations post-GDPR for ‘Personal data’ under the Data Protection Act 2018.

SAP BusinessObjects allows an unauthenticated attacker to access a specific endpoint, resulting in unintended disclosure of sensitive application data.

Solution

A redirect has been implemented to direct users to an error page when they attempt to access the affected endpoint.

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence suite is an analytics platform allowing SAP customers to make better decisions based on their business data. SAP BI is a module meant for producing business insights and expands its power in combination with HANA DB and also exists as BW/4 HANA. Due to processing sensitive business data, the Data security is of utmost importance.
