SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3697355 was released on 10.03.2026 and deals with "3697355 - [CVE-2026-27684] SQL Injection Vulnerability in SAP NetWeaver (Feedback Notification)" within ABAP. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve sql injection (read/write) with a medium potential for exploitation in component CA-NO.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. SAP NetWeaver Feedback Notification Service allows an authenticated attacker to inject arbitrary SQL code into user-controlled input fields, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to or modification of database information.

Solution

User input is now properly validated and escaped before being incorporated into SQL statements, preventing SQL injection attacks.
