On 09.09.2025 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within ABAP.

SAP Note 3633002 addresses "[CVE-2025-42929] Missing input validation vulnerability in SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server" to prevent data tampering with a high risk for exploitation.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process, the team suggests.

Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server allows privileged users to run ABAP reports that can delete unprotected database table content, leading to data loss and integrity compromise.

Solution

The issue is fixed by removing the obsolete ABAP report.
