Risk specification
SAP Commerce Cloud includes vulnerable Jetty classes in ehcache-2.10.9.2.jar, allowing authenticated attackers to trigger excessive resource usage and exposure to vulnerability scanners.Solution
SAP Commerce Cloud has removed the unnecessary Jetty class_terracotta files from ehcache-2.10.9.2.jar, ensuring that only required components are present and preventing false positives from vulnerability scanners. Alternativly, the consulting team has proposed the following: "As a workaround, you can remove the unnecessary Jetty class_terracotta files from ehcache-2.10.9.2.jar, as Jetty is not required for Ehcache in SAP Commerce Cloud.". The suggestion may be considered, as a workaround or compensating mitigation. We recommend installing/applying the correction wherever possible and as soon as possible. Base your decision on whether or not to apply the patch on your companies and systems risk perspective and consider the provided CVSS 3.1 score.
