A note with CVSS 4.1 for component BI-BIP-LCM was released by SAP on 08.07.2025. The correction/advisory 3598118 was described with "[CVE-2025-42965] Server Side Request Forgery(SSRF) vulnerability in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform Central Management Console Promotion Management Application." and affects the system type BI/BO platform.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance.

SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform (Promotion Management in Central Management Console) allows an authenticated attacker to send crafted requests during job source configuration, potentially enabling enumeration of internal network systems via server-side request forgery (SSRF).Solution
The application now enforces a whitelist of valid CMS hostnames or IP addresses, including port validation, to prevent unauthorized network probing.
