SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3568307 was released on 08.04.2025 and deals with "[CVE-2025-26657] Information Disclosure vulnerability in SAP KMC WPC" within Java. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve information disclosure with a medium potential for exploitation in component EP-KM-CM.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance.

SAP NetWeaver Knowledge Management and Collaboration (KMC) Web Page Composer (WPC) contains a vulnerability that allows an unauthenticated attacker to remotely retrieve usernames via a crafted parameter query. This is due to a missing code validation check and may lead to the exposure of sensitive information.

Solution

The fix enforces user authentication by verifying login status and prompting a login if the user is not already authenticated.
