SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3543274 was released on 08.04.2025 and deals with "[CVE-2025-26654] Potential information disclosure vulnerability in SAP Commerce Cloud (Public Cloud)" within SAP Commerce Cloud. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve information disclosure with a medium potential for exploitation in component CEC-SCC-CLA-ENV-NWC.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

Information disclosure is when an application fails to properly protect sensitive and confidential information from parties that are not supposed to have access to the subject matter in normal circumstances.

Risk specification

SAP Commerce Cloud (Public Cloud) contains a vulnerability that allows an unauthenticated attacker to intercept sensitive data transmitted over HTTP prior to redirection to HTTPS. This may lead to the exposure of personal information during the initial unsecured transmission.

Solution

A new configuration option has been introduced to disable exposure over HTTP/port 80, ensuring that all traffic is securely transmitted via HTTPS.
