Advisory
A note with CVSS 5.5 for component FI-LOC-CA-XX was released by SAP on 22.07.2025. The correction/advisory 3540688 was described with "[CVE-2025-42947] Code Injection vulnerability in SAP FICA ODN framework" and affects the system type ABAP.
A workaround exists, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as none.
The vulnerability addressed is code injection vulnerability within ABAP.
Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. Risk specification
The SAP FICA ODN framework allows a high-privileged user to inject values into local variables, which can subsequently be executed by the application. This could allow an attacker to manipulate application behavior, resulting in a high impact on integrity, low impact on availability, and no impact on confidentiality.Solution
This issue has been resolved by introducing an internal method within the ODN framework. Please implement the Correction Instructions or Support Packages referenced in this SAP Security Note. Although an alternative solution exists, it is advisable to apply the correction! This is the workaround, which was suggested by the SAP security experts: "n.a.".
