SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3539465 was released on 08.04.2025 and deals with "[CVE-2025-27435] Information Disclosure Vulnerability in SAP Commerce Cloud" within SAP Commerce Cloud. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve information disclosure with a medium potential for exploitation in component CEC-SCC-COM-PRO-CUC.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

Information disclosure is when an application fails to properly protect sensitive and confidential information from parties that are not supposed to have access to the subject matter in normal circumstances.

Risk specification

SAP Commerce Cloud contains a vulnerability that allows an unauthenticated attacker to retrieve customer coupon codes embedded in the URL parameters of campaign links. This may lead to unauthorized usage of coupons and potential abuse of promotional offers.

Solution

A new secure method for claiming customer coupons has been implemented, replacing the previous URL-based mechanism. Sensitive data is now transmitted through request body parameters, mitigating the risk of exposure and unauthorized use.
