On 11.08.2026 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within SAP Commerce.
SAP Note 3773203 addresses "3773203 - [CVE-2026-42945] Potential buffer overflow vulnerability affects SAP Commerce Cloud in public‚Äëcloud deployments with NGINX" to prevent memory corruption with a high risk for exploitation.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process, the team suggests.
Risk specification
SAP Commerce Cloud, due to the use of an affected version of NGINX, allows an unauthenticated attacker to send specially crafted requests that trigger memory corruption in an internal process, potentially resulting in unauthorized access to or modification of all system data.
Solution
The affected NGINX version has been updated.
