On 09.12.2025 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within ABAP.
SAP Note 3591163 addresses "[CVE-2025-42875] Missing Authentication check in SAP NetWeaver Internet Communication Framework" to prevent missing authentication check with a medium risk for exploitation.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process, the team suggests.
Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. Risk specification
SAP NetWeaver Internet Communication Framework allows an attacker with high privileges to reuse authorization tokens without triggering proper authentication, which can result in unauthorized access by bypassing identity verification.
Solution
The user identity is now properly reset to enforce secure authentication behavior.
